Welcome
Our History-
Dunstall Cricket Club was originally founded in the 1890's and reformed in 1960 to play on the Dunstall Estate near Barton under Needwood - one of the most picturesque grounds in the Midlands.
We also have use of a second ground in the village of nearby Rangemore. During the 1980's we played in the Burton & District League before moving to the Derbyshire Cricket League in 1992 and since 2000 we have played in the ECB Derbyshire Premier League.
Today-
The Derbyshire Premier League is recognised as one of the strongest leagues in the Country and we consider ourselves to be the premier side in East Staffordshire and the only club in the area to offer Premier League cricket. We are fully committed to developing local talent and promoting strong junior and youth sides.
For the 2013 season we have a new First team captain, as Martin Clewley has decided to stand down after five years in charge. He will will be replaced by Matt Gouldstone.
We currently run 4 senior sides plus junior teams at all ages playing Kwik Cricket, Softball and Indoor League. We also support 2 Ladies teams who in 2013 will compete in the SE Staffordshire Women's League. During 2012 we were re-accredited the prestigious ECB Clubmark accreditation to confirm our standing amongst the Country's elite clubs.
Recent club professionals include former England legends Derek Randall and Devon Malcolm and from the West Indies Phil Simmons and Jimmy Adams.
And Tomorrow-
We are looking to build strategic partnerships with local businesses to enable us to continue to offer an improved standard of coaching for local youngsters and to take our club to the next level.
We offer a range of partnership packages, please contact us for more details.
In return you and your business can join the Number 1 club in the area and become a part of Dunstall's future; but whatever your level of interest please come along and support us up at 'Deer Park' during 2013.
